My Diet Challenge

i don't have much to blog nowadays cause i'm on diet.. ya! D I E T... but it's always screwed up when i got back to my hometown with heavy luxurious meals from my mom and nearby stalls.. i can't help it.. but to just eat eat and eat ... the thought of F O O D makes me happy :P

it's not a total failure anyways as i've lose some inches.. but somehow .. it's not what i've prospected it to be.. the result is very very far from my aim and therefore i decided to be stricter the nxt month (which i hope i can do it)

anyway i bought a pedometer to help myself with the journey xD.. ahahaha with a pathetic track of less than 10000 steps everyday.. i don't know if i can ever lose weight fast or not.. and not to mention.. i skipped alot of my jogging routine too (thanx to the rain! *&#$*^^@#&)

anyway thanx to some frens who have been supporting me :P

Jellyfish being a very filial son :)

jellyfish is a very hensem tall guy who has got some special charm which everybody couldn't resist him... but sad to say that the majority are "ah sam(s)"..

the first incident was an ah soh.. she approached jelly with a big smile and said.. " hi leng jai.. buy socks from me pls?

pointing at the socks, she said .. "these are made from very good material and i'm sure that u'll be using them " .. jelly with a big smile den replied, "nvm lar.. i dun need it.. nxt time kie" .. and so the ah soh said "ok... nxt time yah".. and walked away....

the 2nd incident.. (ah sam and jelly - GOOD DESTINY)

jelly was eating and an "ah sam" suddenly appeared out of nowhere with a pack of joss sticks.. and the dialog is as follows :

ah sam : hi leng jai leng lui .. wanna buy joss sticks ma?
jelly : nvm la... dowan lar..
CK (jelly's fren) : .....
-- CK has been very smart to just keep quiet throught the whole conversation --
ah sam : come lar.. buy lar..
jelly : nvm lar.. nvm lar
ah sam : u buy.. den u can be a FILLIAL son ma.. buy for ur family and this can ensure happiness ma..
jelly : nvm lar nvm lar

jelly had been saying the same words for bout a minute or two.. non stop.. with very farnee facial xpression..
however.. ah sam wouldn't give up..

ah sam : where can say nevermind one.. u buy and u pray .. is good for u mar.. furthermore i can see very good WEALTH from your FOREHEAD..
jelly : nvm lar nvm lar...
ah sam : u see here.. i see dey all oso i never ask them to buy.. buden.. me with u.. have got very good DESTINY.. "hou yao yuen".. dat's y i asked u ma.. trust me.. it's good for u wan...

jelly at last.. couldn't stand longer and just purchase a pack from her.. and the ah sam happily walked away..

one thing for sure.. jelly has been saying alot of "nvm" word.. hahaha

Something Different from a Cafe in Puchong

I went for lunch with sis and her friend yesterday at a cafe (Culinary Delights) in Puchong.. somewhere near to Tesco Area

The rice served with brinjal and meat gravy is nice.. loads of gravy given..

The yam cake is delicious.. lots of yam in it :)

starters such as agar agar and crackers (kacang putih) were given b4 food ordered is served.. (it's free).. the customer service is good overall.. and price is reasonable as it's definitely cheaper than any restaurants or cafe in KL..

Burrito aka lil donkey

Had a carnita super burrito the other day at Taqueria La Bamba after getting my much needed haircut. The burrito also had rice, beans, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream all wrapped up in a grilled tortilla. Carnita's where chewy but had a crunch to them, rice was moist, beans were soft but not too mushy, all the ingredients mixed together sealed the deal.

It's one of the more expensive taqueria in the area at about $6.30 for a super burrtio along with the fact that chips and salsa are not included which other places provide with any order but they fill you up, I often eat 3/4 of it and finish off the rest later on in the day as a snack.

I went to "Hong Kong Cafe" in Singapore and had both of these yummy food..

The salted Egg Soft Shell Crab is deep fried and is very nice in flavour.. it's not very salty and definitely a good combi.. for me.. it's worth a try..

the yuan yang curry rice is kinda ok.. hehe i still prefer my own curry.. the chicken chop on the curry is abit soggy.. this one is just so so for me..

overall the cafe is quite ok.. it's a nice place to hangout with friends at nite as it's open from 6pm - 5am daily..

Kenny Rogers in Singapore

i have always like kenny roger's macaroni and cheese... and not to mention it's low fat grilled chicken and yummylicious muffin.. i wasn't aware that kenny roger's in singapore is slightly different till i was brought there to have a try..

the macaroni and cheese is really delicious (the macaroni is served with real creamy and yummy cheese as you can see from the picture).. unlike those that we're having in malaysia and the servings are quite alot too.. no muffins selections but they offer corn muffin..

pricing wise.. definitely more expensive than m'sia's...

It's gluey.. many may not like it but i find it quite nice.. the curry gravy is not too strong in flavour and is poured onto the rice...

the cabbage is cooked till soft and the cutlets are made with pure chicken meat..

i'm not very sure of the location of the stall (was told that it's near to the indian street in Singapore).. it's opened till wee hours in the morning..

This is a very tiny crab usually found ashore and likes to dig a tiny hole to hide itself. What is the crab called anyway?
