Alicia had a nice banana rice meal at Kanna Curry House

The Banana Leaf, Curries, Fish and Side Dishes

Chicken Curry

Deep Fried Crispy Squids

I went to Kanna Curry house which is located at Section 17, PJ. The curries are nice but kinda pricey. I think it's basically because that I ordered quite a lot that day. Overall, the food is worth a try.

Alicia cooked fragant indian rice with rendang chicken

The meal

Chicken Rendang

Fried Egg with Seaweed

Bean Sprout with Dried Prawns

Fragrant Indian Rice with Spices

Yesterday for the first time I attempted to cook rendang chicken on my own. Rendang chicken has been a specialty to my mum's cooking and I had always loved it since I was at a very young age.

My version of rendang chicken is a little bit different though. I added some bird's eye chili, so it's a little spicy. On top of that I used evaporated milk instead of coconut milk.

Fried egg was prepared by my sister. She cooked it with seaweed. I find it different and tasty :)

Bean sprout was cooked with boiling the sprouts in hot water and later mixed with fried chopped garlic, fried dried prawns and soy sauce.

Lastly, the Indian rice is cooked with spices and evaporated milk. It's nice to go with the rendang chicken.

Between the 2 slices of bread

I wonder at times the best solution to solve issues and ongoing dilemmas. At times I'm stuck at a reality that I could hardly get answers or to be in the best position to kill the root of the problem..

Look far and be in detail in particulars would prevent damages. (This is based on my thoughts) I'm not so sure if I wouldn't slip out minor yet important details that may spin a difference.

When things happened and when it's spilled and announced to the world, of course that it'll make an impact. A not so good feeling followed and for sure I wouldn't want to be in that kind of position anymore. But who to guide? Nobody but myself to find out things. No excuses allowed such as being a newbie, and it's just a plain guilty sentence and that will remind me of being careful.

So much so, last but not least. Be positive!

A Hearty Sunday Meal

What's on the table?
A home cooked meal specially for my sister and housemate(s)

Fried Lam Yue Chicken

"Steamed egg?"

I simply love cooking. I couldn't get rid of my itchy hands to purposely do something in the kitchen.

On Sunday, I would normally go for Kiara Walk with ahboy and the gang. Ah!! well, I'll blog bout it after I get some pictures from the walk. :) After exercise and breakfast I'll then go to the market like an "auntie" (si lai) shopping for raw ingredients for the meal of the day..

Last Sunday I prepared fried lam yue chicken (fried marinated chicken with bean curd) I don't know what is it in English. This is the 2nd attempt as for the first attempt I failed in the taste.. Kinda ok and crispy this time :P

My version of steamed egg is exactly like what my father did. I fried dried prawns with some shallots and garlic till crispy and later mix with beaten egg, water and salt and steam it till it's cooked.. Kinda different from what is sold at the stalls..

The last one is brinjal. It's cooked with minced chicken and soy sauce.

Interesting Trip to Ulu Bendul

Few weeks ago, my sister and I went to Ulu Bendul, a recreation park in Negeri Sembilan. Thanks to jellyfish and zybisko for the tour.
The banner

A hut at the recreation area

The place is nice and cooling. Many different types of trees can be seen and there are a lot of families staying nearby picnicking and bathing at the waterfall.

The trip is kinda exhausting but overall it's fun..

Changes and adaption

New deco at my workplace
It's supposed to bring wealth luck to me.. XD
Alot of people have been working late and spending most of their time in the office. Some work on Saturdays and some even stay on till Sunday. For me, I had always stand firm that I wouldn't be sacrificing this much for my job. To me, a job is always a job. It's important but not entirely everything. I wouldn't want it to eat up my time for leisure, friends and relax.

Reasons for not working late:
1. I'm working to support myself and not devoting my life to it. It's enough to spend time moderately on the job. The rest of the time should be taken for family and leisure.
2. I need good rest. I believe quality contribution comes with a clear mind and a fresh start of a day, especially that I do need to think alot for my job as a programmer.
3. More time to spend with family and friends. Cherish them. Do watch the movie "Click" by Adam Sandler if you don't get this.
4. Health issues.
5. Too much stress is not good.

Anyway, sometimes there are situations that can't be avoidable that I've to stay in the office abit. Seriously I haven't really experience this till I joined my current company. It feels good that I'm earning extra from OT(overtime) and being able to solve coding problems but, I don't think that I want to prolong this situation.

Once a while is ok.. but not too much..

There's just a lot more to do than just having a job.
