WoW NAKED ear squats LeGal

NST - AS the controversy over the “squat in the nude” incident rages on, Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Noh Omar today came out in strong defence of the police, saying their action was in accordance with the rules and regulations.

this is so amusing.. i don't understand why such a rule is made legal for the police lock-up.. is there a need for a lady to strip for the purpose of checking for dangerous weapons?

if there is.. why should there be someone videotaping the girl? is it serving as some prove that they did their job? why do we sometimes hear about policemen being peeping tom for that particular action? some free nude show? haha since porn is banned in malaysia..

or is it just soooo right to humiliate the captive..

if it's legal.. why should there be so much of a media attention?

i'm a malaysian.. and being a lady.. this kind of news doesn't sound nice.. i feel insecure whenever i go out because of the high rising crime rates.. and the fact that the policemen r just reliable to a certain extend..

ya and i agree with merv - "And this country is already so damn safe"... that singapore is definitely much safer.. because of me having a very secure feeling whenever i was there..

the news proves one thing.. malaysia boleh!

Can't really compare Sg with My.
It's such a small island. Where can an offender run?

i think it's just a more disciplined police workforce here in sg. makes a lot of difference.

Dun compare size with singapore.. They are better becuase they are more strict and honest.. Not because they are smaller...

Same case... Why England which is so much bigger then Malaysia can also be better?

Since when is England so much bigger than Malaysia?
You need to get your geography right la.

If you compare Malaysia with Australia, then probably I would say, yes.. AU is much bigger.
But you can't deny that being small does have some advantage in the sense of "security". Easier to manage.

But mostly, it comes down to mentality. Third World.

the reason is cos the police are so corrupted .... so please PM go and increase the police salary .... anyway i heard the police wanted to catch the person who took the photo instead of sacking the policewoman ... haha malaysia really boleh .... no justice at all .... i think malaysia is the only country that not only bully it's citizens ... it also take it out on the foreigners. ....

At least we don't have bombing here like what happened in London and Sept 11 :D

Theres bound to be corruption in any authorative body, its just that it seems worse in Malaysia because they don't know how to hide it.

darrenz : Increasing their pay will not help if the system is still lousy.

Eg. If they were to reduce summons and fines, wouldn't people rather pay the summons than bribe?

Or if they made paying summons/fines a lot more convenient, who would want to pay off policemen?

Tackling the problem at the roots. Unfortunately the country seems to handle its problems by bopping it on the head first then only worrying.

it all starts with culture. i dare say we as malaysians do contribute to police corruption.

but i also do dare say that we can end it by promoting a responsible culture. dont pay rasuah. dont be bullied by cops. and dont break laws.

corruption will always exist. but the bad doesnt have to outnumber the good. in which is the case with msia.

chemical ... malaysia even has discount on fines ... what system is this ? people will just laugh their heads off ... besids police are wearing the anti-rasuah badges ... i say it actually stands for nanti-rasuah ... bah ....
